Enhanced Digital System in Vital Statistics Registration and Processing at the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Kauswagan, Lanao Del Norte
Abstract:
This qualitative study examines the transformative impact of digital innovations, particularly the implementation of the PhilCRIS system, on the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) – Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte in enhancing the registration and processing of vital statistics. The findings reveal significant improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and public service delivery, aligning with broader e-governance trends. Challenges such as limited computer literacy, technical constraints, and resource shortages during the initial stages underscore the complexities of digital transitions. The study highlights the critical role of targeted training, resource allocation, and adaptive strategies in overcoming these barriers and optimizing system performance. A significant relationship is observed between the adoption of digital systems and improved organizational efficiency, Recommendations for Local Government Units (LGUs) emphasize the need for comprehensive and ongoing training programs, agile succession planning, and continued investment in digital infrastructure. These measures ensure not only operational continuity but also enhance the capacity of LGUs to meet the demands of modern governance and service delivery, reinforcing their role as efficient and responsive institutions.
