Impact of Peer Coaching on Elementary Teachers’ Self-Efficacy at Mamarinta Elementary School
Abstract:
This qualitative study explores the effectiveness of peer coaching as a professional development strategy in enhancing the self-efficacy of elementary teachers in the Division of Lanao del Norte for the School Year 2024-2025. Findings reveal that teachers engage in peer coaching through six main practices: collaboration, demonstration teaching, lesson planning, observation, reflection, and resource sharing. These practices foster a culture of support and shared learning, resulting in improved teacher confidence, instructional strategies, and classroom problem-solving abilities. Despite these positive outcomes, the study highlights the need to institutionalize peer coaching within the educational system to sustain and maximize its benefits for both teacher development and overall school effectiveness.
