Experiences of the Elementary School Administrator, Teachers and Stakeholders on “Brigada Eskwela” at Nunang Elementary School

Abstract:

This qualitative case study explored how administrators, teachers, and stakeholders at Nunang Elementary School, implemented the “Brigada Eskwela” program during the School Year 2024–2025. Specifically, the study examined the strategies employed in implementation, the challenges encountered, and the insights gained to enhance the program’s effectiveness. Findings revealed that successful implementation largely depended on strong community involvement, as parents, local businesses, and various stakeholders contributed significantly to efficient operations. However, financial constraints emerged as a major challenge, limiting access to essential materials such as cleaning supplies and repair tools. Teachers also faced difficulties balancing instructional duties with program-related tasks, which often led to fatigue and burnout. Schools that engaged in structured planning and early coordination reported fewer operational issues, emphasizing the value of well-defined action plans. Nonetheless, sustaining volunteer participation remained a concern, as some individuals hesitated to join due to personal commitments or the absence of tangible incentives. The study highlights the importance of fostering stronger partnerships between schools and external organizations to alleviate financial limitations.
