Exploring Parental Involvement Practices in Supporting Learners’ Academic Performance in Balabacon Primary School
Abstract:
The purpose of this qualitative study is to explore the involvement of parents in supporting the learner’s academic performance. The participants of this study were parents having children at Balabacon Primary School in Munai, District. Findings of this study reveal that parents play an important role in their children’s development education. Parents support their children with homework, monitoring their progress, encouraging them, and participating in school activities. The study also highlights the need for parents to closely work together with teachers for the welfare of the learners. Regular communication of parents and teachers and joint efforts on working together for the welfare of the learners. Parents must be recognized by the school as partners in education for this partnership can improve children’s academic performance and overall growth and well-being.
